Therapy is intended to help people understand and make sense of their own histories and the person that they are. By getting to know and accept our real selves we have a better chance of having more realistic and satisfying relationships with others. Connecting with our feelings and patterns of behaviour, may also mean we avoid destructive and unhelpful relationships and ways of living in the future.
Powerful feelings of sadness, worthlessness, self-hatred, emptiness, disconnection and inadequacy can impact on our relationships, our work and our sense of self. I offer confidential face to face counselling and psychotherapy to individuals in North London and in the City. My aim is to help people to gain a greater understanding of why they feel the way they do, and as a consequence manage their lives differently.
I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist and I have a Masters in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I am an accredited member of the BACP – British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists which is the largest professional body in its field in the UK. It ensures all its members are appropriately trained, qualified and adhere to their strict code of ethics for practitioners.
I am also a registered member of the BPC – British Psychoanalytic Council.
